FAQ

What do I need to bring?

Food
Sudden change of diet can upset a dog's gastrointestinal system therefore we ask that you bring your dog's normal food and provide enough for their stay. All treats and supplementary food is provided. Please let us know about any food allergies on your registration form and at check in.

Medication
We are happy to administer all types of medication as required, please make sure medications are labelled.

Proof of Vaccination
Please bring your pet's vaccination card. No dog will be accepted to the kennels without their vaccinations being up to date. If you don't have a vaccination card your vet will be happy to email you proof of your dog's vaccinations.

The kennel cough vaccination is required, this must have been administered at least 2 weeks before the booking as it is a live vaccine.

Proof of titre testing is also acceptable but we require all dogs to be vaccinated for Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough annually.

Collar/Harness and Lead
Please ensure your dog is wearing a correctly fitting collar with a name tag, this is required by law. If your dog is usually walked on a harness or halti then please feel free to bring this for us to use. Please note that all belongings are left at the owner's risk. Any bulky collars or large trackers/tags on collars may be removed during your dogs stay for safety reasons.

Please note we do not accept crates, bean bags, bowls or any toys that could be unsafe if chewed or swallowed.

Other Items to Consider

Some dogs may benefit from having their own bedding, blanket or toy.  It is completely up to you if you would like to bring something along but rest assured if not we have plenty of everything that your dog could possibly need!

A coat and/or drying jacket for those dogs that are sensitive when out in the cold and rain.

A long lasting natural chew such as a pigs ear or cow hoof to gnaw on.

Please note that all belongings are left at the owner's risk.

What exercise will my dog get?

All dogs are exercised daily, the quantity and duration of their walks is based on your dog's normal routine, health and age. We will ask for all this information prior to their stay and can discuss with you at drop off.

As you will see on our Facilities page, we have a large secure area to allow for off lead exercise aswell as private farmland to walk dogs on.

In adverse weather we may need to walk dogs off the farm, for example if we have alot of snow.

What are your opening hours?

As we are a small team we limit our opening hours to allow us more time to spend with the dogs.

Monday - Friday
9-11 am & 2-6pm

Saturday / Sunday
10am - 4pm

Please note we are unable to adjust these hours and they are strictly adhered to.

Will my dog mix with other dogs?

Dogs from different households will not come into contact with each other.  This is part of our licencing conditions from Trafford Council. All dogs are kennelled and walked individually (unless from the same home).

Can I come to view the kennels before booking?

We have limited appointments for viewings of the kennels in order to minimise disruption to the dogs in our care.  Please call if you would like to arrange.

Please note viewing of the kennels is not permitted at drop-off as this can encourage separation anxiety and increase stress for the dog. We find making a drama-free drop off at reception to be much more pleasant for our canine guests.
