Enrichment Programme

At Dunham Barks, we believe in providing comprehensive enrichment for your dog to ensure they remain happy, healthy and fulfilled during their stay.

Enrichment is all about offering activities and environments that cater to a dog’s natural instincts and needs.

Here is how we do it:

• Physical Enrichment - we provide ample opportunities to exercise through daily walks, play and one to one attention. This allows the dogs to expend their energy in a positive way.

• Mental Stimulation - this includes lead walks including sniffing time, using puzzle/slow feeders and long lasting natural treats such as pigs ears/beef tendon etc (according to allergy requirements).

• Emotional Wellbeing - We pay close attention to each dog’s individual needs and preferences ensuring they feel safe and secure. This includes providing items from home such as a piece of clothing or a toy, using calming sprays such as Pet Remedy and using the calming effect of classical music playing throughout the kennels.
